French technology company SQLI creates 100 jobs in Sant Just Desvern with the opening of its first headquarters in the Peninsula

The French technology company SQLI, specializing in e-commerce and digital strategies, has created 100 jobs at its headquarters in Sant Just Desvern (Baix Llobregat, Barcelona), its first subsidiary in the Iberian Peninsula. The opening process of this offices, that serve clients from all over Europe, began in 2018.
To set up in Catalonia, the company has had the support of Catalonia Trade & Investment, the Government’s agency for business competitiveness. There are currently over 1,100 French companies in Catalonia.
From Sant Just Desvern, SQLI coordinates its services for its European and Spain clients with a staff of specialists in the fields of solutions (business analysts, designers, certified experts…) and technology (web and app developers, DevOps engineers...). SQLI offers support to both companies who already have a digital strategy but want to consolidate their online sales and companies who are beginning to develop digital channels.
According to the director of the company in Catalonia, Thomas Gendulphe, "SQLI had Barcelona in the watchlist. The decision making has been fastened when an important client asked us to support him in Barcelona. Since then we haven’t stopped growing”.
Thomas Gendulphe adds that being there has allowed them to “grow services for existing customers but also get new ones, because many international companies chose Barcelona as their digital hub and because the talent pool is large: Barcelona is one of the most dynamic cities in the digital field in Europe, is international and has a very attractive quality of life”, he says.
