E.G.O Appliance Controls to expand its plant in Lliçà de Vall by investing 8,8 million euros

15 Jan 2015

E.G.O Appliance Controls has invested 8.8M€ to expand its plant in Lliçà de Vall, as part of a larger project to increase its R&D actions. This 2014-2016 operation will create 61 new jobs that will be added to the more than 220 workers the German company already has in Catalonia.

E.G.O Appliance Controls was founded in 1931, so it has an 80-year experience in developing, producing and supplying high-tech products for washing machines, stoves, driers and other home and commercial appliances. What’s more, this last year the company has been working on a new business area: induction systems for commercial kitchens.

Research and Development is one of the main areas E.G.O focuses on, which is the reason why they have decided to expand its Product Management and R+D departments and also, its production volume. E.G.O Appliance Controls exports more than 80% of its income to countries such as Turkey, Slovenia, Italy, the USA or Germany.

Invest in Catalonia has helped E.G.O Appliance Controls in the course of this project, providing personalized advice and consultation, as well as mediating between the company and Lliçà de Vall’s council. Invest in Catalonia has also helped the German company by offering advice and information on incentives and financing options.
