Catalana occidente to create a technology services unit

Insurance group catalana occidente (co) is to integrate all its technology services into a single subsidiary company in order to enhance sinergies and reduce costs. the operation is to receive a 30 million euros invesment.

the new unit will provide technology and it services to group companies seguros bilbao, nortehispania, salem 94 and catalana agencia de valores. catalana occidente, which is based in sant cugat (barcelona), posted revenue of 3.39 billion euros in 2008, a 62.8% increase over the previous year.
