Catalan industry exports up 13.5% in 2011 and 8.8% to March

The value of exports from the territory rose to a record of just over €55 billion last year, led by major growth in such areas as transport related goods, up 22%, and leather products at 16.5%. Target markets were mainly EU Europe and Latin America, although non-EU Europe and North American export markets are also growing at an encouraging rate.
