Barcelona closes the bio-europe 2010 congress with record attendance

More than 1,700 representatives participated at the fourth annual edition of the bio-europe spring congress, recently held at the barcelona international convention center. the bio-europe spring is europe’s most important meeting for the biotech sector and a reference event for international companies.
“bio-europe spring has allowed us to present the catalan biotechnology sector as a key pillar of the country's economy”, biocat ceo montserrat vendrell said.
this year's edition boasted 17 specialized workshops, more than 100 conferences and 9,000 one-to-one meetings, with the participation of more than 1,000 companies.
“bio-europe sping 2010 has given a lot of visibility to all our efforts in research and biosciences in catalonia,” esteve's business development director jaume masana added.
