The japanese company agc expands its facilities in catalonia

Agc, the japanese company specialized in producing glass for car manufacturers, has created 16 jobs in santa perpètua de la mogoda, in addition to the 40 that already had. 

the company has expanded its avo (add value operations) unit, that begun its production one year ago, in order to meet the demand from spanish automakers, that has doubled over the last year. this project has been supported by the government of catalonia through invest in catalonia, that has worked with agc in the search for local suppliers. 

"this expansion of our activity approaches us to our customers in the automotive industry and allows us to respond quickly and efficiently to their needs" states jean -marc meunier the ceo of agc automotive europe. meunier also highlights "the great professional character of this young unit when meeting the stringent quality requirements currently required by the automotive industry." 

asahi glass co. ltd., is a world leader in flat glass for construction, automotive industry and displays. its facilities in santa perpètua specialize in adding components to the glass (for noise isolation, restraint systems, rain sensors, etc. ) to extend its range of functionalities. its main clients are volkswagen group, renault and nissan .
