Catalonia Trade & Investment organizes a roundtable about "Investment opportunities in semiconductors in the EU: success stories from Catalonia" on 16th March in Brussels (Belgium).

ACCIÓ-Catalonia Trade & Investment is organizing a roundtable in Brussels on 16th March with the participation of Mr. Albert Castellanos, Secretary for Business and Competitiveness of the Government of Catalonia and CEO of ACCIÓ-Catalonia Trade & Investment, and Mr. Hendrik Bourgeois, Vice President of European Governments' Affairs of INTEL.

Join the conversation and participate in the "Investment Opportunities in Semiconductors in the European Union: Success Stories from Catalonia" roundtable from 5 pm to 6.30 pm on 16th March. A cocktail reception will follow the event.

The semiconductor industry in Catalonia comprises 104 companies and research entities, employing 4,400 professionals. 37% of these companies generate annual revenue of over 10 million euros. This data highlights that semiconductor components have gained tremendous significance as they play a critical role in ensuring the technological autonomy of nations worldwide. Primarily because chips are integral to most industrial value chains, making them strategic components.

The agenda is the following:

  • 5 pm: Welcoming by Ignasi Centelles, Delegate of the Government of Catalonia to the EU.
  • 5.05 pm: Introduction by Hendrik Bourgeois, moderator.
  • 5.10 pm: Setting the scene: Albert Castellanos, who will explain the strategy of the Government of Catalonia towards semiconductors' investments.
  • 5.20 pm: Questions by Hendrik Bourgeois to the members of the panel (roundtable format).
