the turkish textile company savcan opens an office in barcelona to serve southern europe

the turkish textile company savcan has opened a sales and design office in barcelona that will serve the countries in southern europe. savcan, which operates in catalonia under the brand name moda clique barcelona, also has a branch in london, covering the markets of northern europe. 

savcan chose barcelona to set up its subsidiary in southern europe thanks to the resources that the city offers, the availability of professionals with extensive design expertise and the proximity to the headquarters of its clients, such as inditex, mango and el corte ingles. 

to create moda clique barcelona, the turkish company received support from the foreign investment attraction area of accio, the catalan government agency for business competitiveness. 

the turkish company is one of the most important firms in the manufacture of women's clothing in turkey, focusing on the production of fabric and on printing, dyeing and manufacture of the finished pieces. savcan has more than 1,000 employees worldwide and in 2014 had a turnover of about €80bn, a figure expected to increase over 12% this year.
