Singapore Airlines to strengthen its routes in alliance with train operator Renfe
Catalan Economy
06 Jan 2016
Singapore Airlines has signed an agreement with train operator Renfe to increase the number of passengers of its Barcelona outbound flights. The airline expects to use Barcelona as a hub to add passengers from other cities in Spain and, eventually, from Southern France. Singapore is already a well-known hub for Asian and Australian destinations such as Vietnam , Indonesia, Sydney or the Philippines.
This type of initiative is widely used among other European countries, with airlines using the airport as a multimodal center for rail service and long-haul flights. Singapore Airlines also studies the possibility of offering a non-stop service between Barcelona and Singapore, eliminating the current technical stop in Milan.
