This september, ricoh’s sant cugat del vallès centre, currently working for spanish, italian and portuguese clients, will begin to work for the french branch of the group as announced by the company’s general manager ramon martín.
martín stated that ricoh spain showed a turnover of 216 m€ in 2013, a 4% rise over the previous year. this increase was thanks to the purchase of the productive unit of aventia, a technical consulting firm, and to the strengthening of the range of high production printing products. the multinational’s diversification process meant that the group grew 60% in these new business areas, which already represent 25% of the business volume in the spanish market.
in terms of 2014 forecasts, ricoh expects to enter the high volume commercial printing market and also to make headway into the e-commerce sector. with the maintenance of its traditional business and these steps into new markets, the multinational expects to increase its turnover to 230 m€ this year, 5% over the previous year.
