21 May 2019

Catalonia is taking part in the EVS32, the most important event on electric mobility that’s held in Lyon this week. Catalonia’s electric vehicle industry will be represented with its own stand shared by Catalonia Trade & Investment, Eurecat Technology Centre and the clusters CIAC, CLUSTERMOTO and CEEC.

With its participation in the world’s main event in the sector, Catalonia aims at positioning itself as an attractive destination for investment in the electric vehicle industry. Catalonia is the 4th European region in the automotive industry, where almost 550,000 cars are manufactured every year. This industry in Catalonia has over 10,800 companies, 143,000 employees and a global turnover of 23,800 million euros (10% of Catalan GDP). In fact, Barcelona has just held the Automobile congress which brought together more than 800,000 visitors.

The Catalan electric mobility ecosystem will also be the focus of two conferences that will present the strategy and opportunities in the electric vehicles sector and success stories of collaborative projects. Millor Battery will unveil its new standard battery line for electric scooters and motorbikes developed with ClusterMoto and Eurecat. Catalan companies Silence, Circontrol and Wallbox will also have their own stands in the fair.

EVS32 brings together all the industry players, with over 150 exhibitors, 2,000 delegates and 5,000 visitors. It is also a showcase of all the components of electric mobility: from vehicle battery technology, motorcycles and trucks or charging facilities, as well as related services and public policy.
