QIAGEN will expand its facilities in Barcelona and create 400+ high-value jobs. For this project, the company has received support from Catalonia Trade & Investment.

This initiative builds on Covestro's continued investment in Tarragona, Catalonia, where the company operates several facilities, including a €200 million chlorine plant inaugurated last year, which created 50 new jobs.

The first phase of the project, called AQ-BCN1, is expected to be completed by 2025 and will provide 60 MW of computing power.

Galderma employs over 6,500 people worldwide, operates in more than 90 countries, and has production plants in Canada, Sweden, France, and Brazil.

The new Digital Experience Center will help with flexible production and digital transformation in key industries, such as automotive, aerospace, intralogistics, and food and beverage.

The funding amount secured by Catalan companies, research centers, and universities during the first half of Horizon Europe comes to just behind those of Paris and Munich cities.

The Deutsche Telekom subsidiary will use its data centers in Barcelona (Sant Boi and Cerdanyola) to serve the public sector and industries such as the automotive industry.

The new facilities represent an investment of over €11 million and have received support from ACCIÓ-Catalonia Trade & Investment.

The opening of this warehouse, scheduled for 2025, will allow Lidl to continue generating local wealth and employment, consolidating its position as one of the main drivers of the catalan economy and labour market.
