Nestlé creates over 100 jobs at its Global IT Hub in Barcelona since the start of the pandemic

Nestlé’s Global IT Hub in Esplugues de Llobregat (Barcelona) has signed up over 100 new employees since the start of the pandemic and is still growing, according to a recent press note from the company.
The Global IT Hub, set up 5 years ago in the Catalan capital, is the company’s worldwide technological centre and where Nestlé is undergoing its entire digital transformation.
Today, it brings together some 600 experts with skills covering the whole range of IT fields, from connected teams to artificial intelligence, as well as new generation technology and digital finances, among others.
Coming from 50 different countries and with 40% of women in leadership positions, the Global IT Hub gives support with IT products and services to all Nestlé’s markets and brands.
"Although it seemed the pandemic brought the world to a standstill, our IT centre kept on growing. More than ever, technology is at the heart of everything we do, and we’ll continue to evolve in the context of our new reality and new ways of working. Our search for professionals in all technology areas is ongoing” emphasizes Cristina Ghetti, head of Nestlé’s Global IT Hub in Spain.
