Catalonia launches talència to foster r&d projects

The catalan government has created a new research agency to promote policies favoring r&d projects in the country. talència received eur 70 million in investments and will bring together the catalan agency for university projects and research, the catalan foundation for research and innovation and the catalan institute of advanced studies. according to catalan minister josep huguet, talència's main goal is “to simplify and rationalize the resources available for research projects.”

talència's priorities for 2010 include projects to train and attract new talent and the transfer of knowledge between universities and private companies.
