Booking.com chooses Barcelona to open Customer Service Center, creates 250 jobs
Dutch company Booking.com, the world’s leading online hotel and accommodation reservation companyonline hotel reservation company, has chosen Barcelona for the opening of a new office that will create 250 new jobs.
For this new Customer Service Center, that will operate worldwide from the Catalan capital, Booking.com has received the support of the Department of Enterprise and Labor through Invest in Catalonia, the area of attraction and promotion of investments.
The new facilities will have a surface area of 3,000 m² and are located in the 22@ district in Barcelona. The letting was brokered by the real estate consultancy Jones Lang LaSalle. The team of 250 workers will be multilingual in European and Asian languages, and providing 24-hour service worldwide.
This is the fifth Customer Service Center that Booking.com establishes in Europe (after Amsterdam, Berlin, Lille and Cambridge) and number 9 in the world. The inauguration is scheduled for next April.
The company established a subsidiary in Barcelona in 2004 in charge of hotel customer relationship in Spain and Andorra. Booking.com has grown in Spain since then and currently employs 100 people and has offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga and the Canary Islands.
