The XXI ACCIÓ Investment Forum: the perfect opportunity to find and to be found
On July 14th, ACCIÓ’s Investment Forum is back in its role as Catalonia’s main meeting point for entrepreneurs and investors, where they have the chance to network, to get to know each other and to do business together, while jointly analysing investment attraction and possibilities in different business initiatives.
This year's edition has 21 finalist projects and 24 investors in the jury. It will also include a plenary conference by Alon Lifshitz, CEO of Blumberg Capital, as well as other other sessions and surprises that you can not lose.
After studying more than 100 candidate projects, 50 were selected to be part of the 2016 Company Catalogue, which will be published for the Forum. Out of these, we selected the 21 best projects that will be presented with a one-minute elevator pitch. The projects are divided into three categories: life sciences and health, ICT and other technologies. The public can vote and choose 9 finalists who will answer questions from investors and demonstrate the great business potential of their proposals.
The ACCIÓ Investment Forum reaches its 21st edition, established as a unique day where some of the year’s best entrepreneurial projects will find funding and where entrepreneurs and investors will get together and network.
The Investment Forum Award will be given to the project showing the greatest potential for innovation and internationalization out of the nine finalists. The prize consists of 120 hours of consulting services to implement an internationalization project with a Catalan Government Trade and Investment Office abroad, including a travel allowance of up to €1,500 and, if needed, the free use of a workspace in one of the offices for a three months period.
The IV Award for Recognition of Entrepreneurial Development will also be celebrated. In previous years this award was given to to Lucas Carné and J. Manuel Villanueva, founders of Privalia; Miguel Vicente, founder of LetsBonus; Jordi Carrera and Rafel Bru, founders of the company STAT-Diagnostica.
Would you like to talk to an investor? To an entrepreneur? To someone who can add value to your business?
The Investment Forum is a space where attendees can meet up together. When you sign up, fill out your profile with relevant information about who you are, what you do, what you’re looking for and what you want to offer, and plan your meeting agenda. Until July 12th, you can see the profile of other participants, invite them to meetings and be invited by others. If you want to be available to receive requests for meetings or get confirmation on your meetings with people who interest you, we recommend the following tips:
Fill out your profile networking in detail explaining what you’re offering and/or looking for. The information you include is the presentation of you and your business to potential partners or investors and means they can find you when they perform searches using keywords. You can register multiple profiles, and we recommend that you also do so in English.
Request meetings with other attendees that interest you. They can accept the proposed meeting or meetings, just as you will have to accept or decline the meeting proposals you receive. As you can only request meetings with people who are available for networking at the same time as you, ensure that your timetable is as open as possible. This will mean finding meeting times will be easier.
And, above all, register early. The later you register the less time you have to receive interview requests and less time for your meetings to be confirmed. The deadline for registration with interview requests ends on July 12th or when registration to the event is full.
